Analytical Rigor
We look at your practice the way an investor would. Most owners have never been shown that lens — not because they couldn’t use it, but because nobody’s offered it.
You're short on time and drowning in data. Your team walks into meetings with KPI results scribbled on napkins. Your collections are down, but you were sure they should have been up. You need to feel confident in what your business is telling you to run it well, and to feel comfortable investing in its expansion. Expansion planning is a whole other beast — and you don't have time for any of it.
We bring the framework — so the right answers are there when the decisions come. To help you cut through the noise. Whether you're looking for an ongoing partner or a one-time deep dive, there's a way to work together that fits where you are.
We have three ways to work together — choose the model that fits your practice.
Pareto isn't a substitute for coaching — it's what makes coaching more effective. Your coach gives you direction, strategy, and accountability. We're the intelligence layer that shows whether it's working. When both are in place, the gap between where you are and where you're going becomes visible — and closeable.

Most practices already have reports — but none of it is connected, none of it is tailored to your goals, and none of it tells you what’s actually driving the picture. Goal Management Solutions starts with setting the right goals for your practice. From there, a custom intelligence layer tracks your progress every day — not against a flat target, but one that adjusts to what’s actually happening in your office. It surfaces what’s masking the real picture, what’s pulling productivity down, and where to actually focus. Not a template. Not a generic dashboard. Your Pareto.
Best for: Practices that want to run their business with the same rigor they bring to patient care — and have a real partner in that process.

Some decisions are too big for a gut check — a large equipment purchase, a second location, a question you’ve never had to answer before. We work through it with you from start to finish: framing the question, pulling the right data, building the analysis, and walking you through what it means. Rigorous, focused work when you actually need it.
Best for: Practices facing a high-stakes decision that deserves real analysis — and a second opinion from someone without a stake in the outcome.

What practices actually experience when their data, their decisions, and their team's time are all working together.
The right number, in the right context — not just the total, but what's underneath it.
When goals are visible and tracked automatically, performance conversations stop being negotiations.
Daily workflows that used to take hours, down to minutes. Your team's energy goes where it actually matters.
Some questions only come around once. When they do, you'll have the numbers to answer them with confidence.
Pareto is a relationship built around your practice's performance — not a product transaction. The technology enables the work. The strategic thinking is the value.
My name is Rich. I live in Charlotte with my wife, our two kids, two doodles (Mango and Kiwi), and the utter chaos that comes with family life.
My wife owns a dental practice here in Charlotte — and watching her and her partner run it is part of what led me to build Pareto. They're both talented, driven, and genuinely great at what they do. But there's never enough time, and too much of what was available got spent trying to measure and manage to KPIs without real insight or even good KPI math. The practice is also constantly growing and reinventing itself — consuming investment dollars, at times without a clear framework for how to evaluate the decision.
I spent my career as a professional investor — not picking stocks, but tearing apart really complex assets to figure out what makes them tick. I got used to presenting complicated information in the simplest terms possible, and constantly evolving my approach. At some point it clicked: the same thought processes and tools I'd used my whole career could solve exactly the problems she was dealing with every day. That was the birth of Pareto.
Pareto is something I've built because I love the agency dental practice owners have — you can affect so much change and drive real success for yourself and your team. That's something I want to see happen for every practice I work with.
When I started working with dental practices, I noticed something striking: these were multi-million-dollar businesses — some with several providers, large support teams, and real operational complexity — making critical decisions based on gut instinct and without confidence in their thinking. The data existed. Nobody was applying the analytical frameworks that could turn it into real business intelligence. That’s the gap I wanted to fill.
My mission is simple: give every practice we work with the kind of clarity that lets them make better decisions, get time back, and build something they're genuinely proud of.
Before Pareto, I spent my career in institutional finance — investment banking, capital markets, and portfolio management at firms including Bank of America and Merrill Lynch. I’ve managed portfolios measured in the billions, built analytical infrastructure from scratch, and spent years translating complex financial pictures into clear snapshots for decision-makers.
The discipline that work demands — rigorous, grounded, always tied to real stakes — doesn’t change when the asset class does. Dental practices at scale are complex businesses. They deserve that same quality of analysis.
There’s a real difference between handing someone a dashboard and actually understanding their business. We take the time to learn your practice the way your best team member would — your production patterns, your growth constraints, your capital needs.
Everything has been tested against real practice operations here in Charlotte. This isn’t theoretical. It works.
Pareto also complements coaching — giving you the objective data that makes coaching more effective and its impact visible. Your coach shapes how you lead. We give you something concrete to see it working.
From inside the practice, you see patients and schedules. A private equity firm sees revenue predictability, provider productivity, and scalable systems. We give you that outside investor’s view — not because you’re selling, but because it makes you a better operator.
We look at your practice the way an investor would. Most owners have never been shown that lens — not because they couldn’t use it, but because nobody’s offered it.
Tailored to your specific workflows and data sources — not a generic template. No manual entry burden on your team.
The strategic perspective of a seasoned business analyst. Not just what happened last month, but what it means for where you’re headed.
What we build evolves as your practice does. The questions you can ask grow with you.
Pareto is not designed to scale. The work is intensive by nature — and intentionally so. If you're curious about what that means and why it matters, the first post on our Insights page is a good place to start.
Pareto doesn’t replace drive or direction. It gives them something to work with — visibility into whether what’s working is actually working, and confidence to keep going.
The practices that get the most from this kind of work have usually already proven the model — and are ready to run with the same intentionality they bring to patient care. If that sounds like yours, let's talk.
